Who we are

Bureau Attest is a French authenticity-analysis service for images and videos, operated by a sole proprietorship registered in France. Every case is examined by a human, following a versioned, documented method (BA-METHOD).

What we do

We perform a documented analysis of the apparent authenticity and probable origin of a digital file: metadata, provenance data, software traces, searches for earlier sources, specialised tools and visual examination. You receive an Authenticity Analysis Report bound to the file by its SHA-256 fingerprint and verifiable online.

What we do not do

Our reports are documented opinions delivered under an obligation of means — neither official certification, nor a guarantee, nor judicial expertise. They determine neither the identity of a file's author, nor their intentions, nor the truth of the depicted event. When the evidence does not reasonably support a conclusion, we say so — and you are not charged.

Your files

Files are handled confidentially, deleted 30 days after report delivery, and never used to train or build our corpora without your explicit consent. Details: Privacy Policy.
